The work of KUDEM’s Sufi-Choir is continuing. Led and accompanied by the renowned solo-singer (Ustad) Mustafa Dogan Dikmen choir members and listeners are equally thrilled and enthusiastic. KUDEM hosts and organizes for many years the choir at its facilities in Mannheim with Ustad Dikmen, who for this purpose is flying-in for each course from Istanbul.
The courses convey beyond the specific vocal technique also the traditions and subtleties of the classic Sufi-Music. The texts of Sufi-Music are rooted on Sufis, who expressed their love and yearning for the subprime. As such Sufi-Music which is accompanied by instruments animates heart and soul. The authentic Sufi-Music is therefore more than just the pure act of singing and includes also the compliance of the teachings and traditions, which are also carefully thought by Ustad Dikmen.
For the attentive listener die Sufi-Music gives a feeling and sense of the state which the Sufis experienced and what they wanted to express. For Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Ilker Çınar fine arts, cultural development and musical education are important pillars of KUDEMs activities.
